Flood Advisory issued June 15 at 3:12PM CDT until June 15 at 6:15PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX
AREAS AFFECTED: Harris, TX; Montgomery, TX
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Harris and Montgomery. * WHEN...Until 615 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 312 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Humble, Spring, Kingwood, Greater Greenspoint, The Woodlands, Aldine, Oak Ridge North, Splendora, Patton Village, Roman Forest, Woodbranch, Porter Heights, Hurricane Harbor Splashtown, Chateau Woods, Bush Intercontinental Airport, Atascocita, Lake Houston, Porter and New Caney. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
INSTRUCTION: Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
